
Maredsous Soup
// rich, cheesy, cozy and very hard to break
A creamy tomato and Maredsous cheese soup with onions, chicken bouillon and parsley.
Ingredients
- β’6 onions
- β’1L peeled tomatoes
- β’1 box Maredsous double cream cheese
- β’3L water
- β’4 chicken bouillon cubes
- β’Parsley
- β’2 tbsp flour, to bind
- β’Butter, for frying
Steps
- 1Roughly chop the onions.
- 2Cook the onions in butter until translucent.
- 3Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir well.
- 4Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato juice, cheese, bouillon cubes, water and seasoning.
- 5Let simmer for 20 minutes.
- 6Blend the soup until smooth.
- 7Bring back to a boil.
- 8Finish with parsley.
